From Margaret River back to Perth

On the 26.1. it was Australia Day. Many people sit in the Kings Park and watch the firework. In this time its 43 Degree Celsius at daytime in Perth. In the night nearly to hot to sleep.

Thats a typical Australien House in Perth with Boat, 4WD and Gasgrill.

This was "funny". In Mandurah somebody build years ago a little german town. The houses had names like "Haensel und Gretel" or "Zum Wohl". But now it look like Germany after the war.

Near Preston Beach

Margaret River, Augusta

And this is the house and car of Kim, the realy cool gye where I stayed a while.

This is Julia from Germany. Hey marc, thanks for sending me the contakt!

This night was realy crazy. Das muss ich auf deutsch erzaehlen: Wir sind abends zum Strand angeln gefahren. Kim hat nen paar schoene Heringe gefangen. Ploetzlich zieht was maechtig an meiner Angel. Entscheidung essen...

On this place we went fishing in the evening....

The best Outback Cars. Old Toyota Landcruiser

Kim, me and Julia(the shaddow left side) have fun. My boots are realy good Workboots. In the heat its the best to wear thick woll socks.

At the Lighthouse is the south west Point Cape Leeuwin.

We make Abalone Burger with salat on a public gasgrill. "Its to easy" Hedle say this all the time. And he is right!

In Augusta I visite Hedle from South Afrika. We get some Abalone shells. Very jummy and very expensive if you get them in a restaurante. You need a special license to collect some. At the rocks he say: Hey look here is a octopus (Tintenfisch) between the Stones. He try to aktivate the octopus with a knife, but suddently the oktopus grab with his arms the knife and pull it out of Hedles hand... it was so funny!

Thats australian humor....

Some old wood one the beach maybe fall of a ship from Afrika.

I drove on the beautyful Cave Road around and visite the big Jewel Cave.

In the morning and evenig hours the kangaroos jump on the streets around.

In Margaret River I was with Kim at a Carrace. Thats big Fun: Light Cars with 500PS race on slippy earth with water on a oval.

Another cool Sunset

Kim bougth a old red Ford Falkon for Julia and I repaired a oelleak, petrolpipes,....

We had with some friends a little party on the beach in the heat with Bourbon&Cola :)

This wonderful bay is Bukers Bay near Yallingup. Its a good surf and fishing point.

From Walepole over Black Point to Margaret River

Next Day in the near of Black Point a Rescue Airplane fly circles over the coast. Then they drop a container with color in the water to mark a point. Then I saw a boat with 3 People drifting in the waves to the rocks. Moments later the boat crashed into the rocks! The 3 man survived with little cuts on the legs. They had realy luck. Two other Cars drove them to a city. An hour later I make the picture.

This was scary. In the eavenig I found a camp with 50 man different ages. They ask me for a Kable because they want to show a film. I say "Ohh, cool a movie in the bush, can I come around?" They say yes, but its kind of a millitary movie. I watched: it was about the SAS Soldiers! Realy brutal. The camp was a christian soldier camp. They teach people what is respekt and millitary organisation in ouer weak world....

Big Dunes to the beach.

Rivercrossing, no problem in the dry summer.

This looks not dangerous, but I need 4 hours to get out of this sandy spot. I let the air of the tyres down put all the heavy stuff out of the car and used the highlift. Thats can be a big problem when you travel alone in this lonly area.

Very nice Tracks across the bush.

Another poor Kangaroo hit by a car. I think they cant be all blind?!?

Then I start alone with Konrads Car to drive on the Coast little 4WD ways with the target Margarete River. (A famous Surf Town)

The trees are often burned by bushfire.

With some of the Party I visite the "Tree Walk". This metalway go up to 40m. The Trees are 60m high.

The area in the south look like this. It was very stormy because a cyclon was near by. Not far away in Esperance was it a little disaster.

And I saw my first snake in Australia just before she dissapered in the hole.

Near Walepole we visite some very friendly people a One Week Hippy Party. Often they walk long distance and carry all the food and the tends withe the old Truck.

Like this look a Australien House (in the background) often with a 4WD in the shaddow. In the front ia a chat (Garage, Lager)
